Wheelchair curling is an adaptation of curling for athletes with limited mobility. It is similar to able-bodied curling except the rocks are delivered from a stationary wheelchair and there is no brushing. Rocks may be delivered by hand while leaning over the side of the wheelchair, or pushed by a delivery stick.
Wheelchair Curling is FUN, AFFORDABLE, RECREATIONAL, SOCIAL, AND COMPETITIVE. Opportunities exist for curlers at all levels, regardless of experience or exposure to curling in the past:
2 to 3 hour workshops teach the basics in a fun & friendly atmosphere. Clinics can be scheduled by contacting the curling club or at any of our Learn To Curl events.
Coyote Curling Club has certified wheelchair instructors to accommodate those getting started, and curlers with physical limitations who want to improve their skill.
